Gabriele
Pezzini |
| Designer,
Hermes Design Director, Italy |
Currently the design director
of the French luxury brand Hermes,
Gabriele Pezzini was interested in creating experimental
products while he majored in industrial
design in Florence.
After graduating from school, he started work at a French
company Alibert and created
numerous important designs. |
With his personal work studio
in Milan, Gabriele Pezzini works with various businesses
from various areas of work,
and develops numerous design projects. Most of his projects
consisted of studying the interaction
between the object and the people that used the object,
and his creations and designs that came
from this he opened? Created? A whole new language and
meaning for those objects.
Giving seminars in design schools many countries, like
the United States, France, Italy and other countries,

Edward
Barber & Jay Osgerby |
| Barberosgerby
Co-founder, Designers, UK |
Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby
both studied architecture at the London Royal College
of Art and founded their company Barberosgerby in 1996.
Their first product, the Loop Table, was a great success
and they continue to actively work
with world-renowned producers.
Some of their main works were the Levi’s Engineer jeans,
Coca Cola drink bottle, |
and Stella McCartney’s first
Manhattan store design. Recently Edward and Jay worked
with companies like Magis,
Authentics, Benini, and Swarovski.
Thanks to hard work and successful projects like mentioned
aforehand, they now have permanent collections
in both the London Victoria Albert Museum and the New
York Metropolitan Museum. |

Jill Fehrenbacher is the founder
of Inhabitat.com which introduces design-related technology
like housing, furniture, and architecture and innovative

In 2005, Jill wanted to find a way to improve the environment
through her search for
eco-friendly yet high-tech designs, and eventually the
concept for inhabitat became |
green designs and designs
that will be still sustainable in the future.
Outside of inhabitat, Jill is a freelance green designer
and spreads green designs as a green design consultant.

Sato |
| Nendo,
Designers, Japan |
Oki Sato, who majored in Architecture
at Waseda University, founded his design company
Nendo in 2002 and now has offices in both Tokyo and Milan.
Because Nendo means mud or dirt in Japanese Nendo seeks
freedom and versatility
in their designs. Through Nendo, Oki Sato explores not
only areas such as architecture,
interior design, furniture and lighting, but also does
his part in menitoring the future |
generation of designers by
teaching students at Showa Women’s University and Kuwasawa
School of Design.
In 2006, Sato was included in the top 100 Most Respectable
Japanese, and in 2007 the Top 100 Small Businesses.
Oki Sato is recognized by his participation in world events
like Mueble Paris, and the Milan Furniture Fair. |

Soon-Jong
Lee |
| Professor
at Design Dept, Seoul National University |
Soon-Jong Lee has worked as
an industrial designer and design exhibition planner
for many years, and now is a professor at Seoul National
University and fervently works
on his research on design. Soon-Jong Lee was invited to
be the Executive Director
of the Gwangju Biennale in 2005, and in 2001 served as
the overall planner of the Seoul
Competition Program of the International Council of Graphic
Design Association (ICSID). |
Soon-Jong Lee tried and worked
hard for integrated research in design.
And in 2002, he established the Korea Design Research
Center and with the exchange and spread of knowledge
of design created a network between companies, research,
and politics for industrialstimulation through design.
In 2007 and 2009, he was the Chief Administrator of the
21st Century Design Forum, the President of the Korean
Design Association, and the Vice-President of the Korean
Industrial Designers Association. Currently he is working
as the Head of Research for the KoreanIndustrial Design
Research Institute, the Project Director of Brain Korea
21
(bk21) Design Culture, and the Director of Finance at
the International Association of Societies of Design Research
(IASDR). |

Sang-Soo
Ahn |
| Professor
at Visual Communication Design Dept. Hongik University |
Currently a visual design professor
at Hongik University, Sang-Soo Ahn is also a graphic
designer and typographer.
He served as the Representative of Ahn Graphics from 1985
to 1991, was commended
by the Hangul Institution for his contributions to the
further development of Hangul,
and was awarded the Korean Newspaper Award by the Korean
Newspaper Association |
for his research in the toxicity
of newspapers. In 1985 he designed and developed many
Korean fonts,
like the Ahnsang Suhchae which is one of the most famous
Korean fonts today.
Recognized for his efforts and merit, in 2007 he was awarded
the 2007 Gutenberg Award by the city of Leipzig, Germany.
He also has solo exhibitions at the Leipzig Museum of
Fine Arts and the Paris Galerie Anatome,
and many other exhibitions like the private exhibition
at the Klingspor Museum for the art of modern book production,
typography and type in Offenbach, Germany. Sang-Soo Ahn
served as the Vice-President of the International
Council of Graphic Design Associations (Icograda), and
the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for
the 2002 Typo Festival: the Seoul Typography Biennale.

Lee |
| Vice-President

Chul-Bae Lee was part of the
Corporate Design Center for almost 20 years,
which played the central role in the success of the bold
product designs
that LG Electronics put out to the world stage.
Today he is the LG Electronics Strategy Division Director,
and also the Strategic Design
Planning Director, and used to be a part of Life Soft
Research (LSR) Institute, |
DA Design Institute, and MC
Design Institute. Currently he is a member of the research
board of the Design Forum
and lead seminars and educational programs related to
design management, and is a great influence in raising
the value of design. |

Heung-Soo
Jeon |
| Design
Manager of Incheon Metropolitan City |
Heung-Soo Jeon currently is
working as an industrial designer and a design-related
administrator.
He developed furniture and products design at both the
LG Electronics Design Institute and ENEX.
Co-managing the Feel Design Company, Heung-Soo Jeon undertook
Korea Design Agency’s
Small Business Design Project and carried it out successfully.
He also gave seminars at schools like Chosun University,
Hansuh University |
and Mokwon Univerisity, and
from the year 2005 with his long-time experience in design
he became a part of
the Incheon Economic Policy Association as the Design
Specialist and is concentrating on the growth of the design
industry. |

Design imagination of green-hearted
designers world-wide will be examined by a judging committee comprised
of Korean/foreign
specialists of related fields and important figures of design. The
evaluation standards are established by the judging committee.
The results of “iida 2010” Awards will be announced in September 2010
through iida.kr, designboom.com, designflux.co.kr,
and the award ceremony will be held on the 18th of November 2010 at
Songdo Convensia in Incheon Metropolitan City
where the international design festival, Incheon International Design
Fair will be held.
The 6 main award-winners will be invited to the award ceremony and
given the expense for this invitation
that amounts to USD 3,000 per winner. If the winner is of a Korean
nationality, he/she will be provided with the opportunity
to go abroad for a program, of which the cost amounts to be similar
as the invitation expense. |

ideas of “iida 2010”.
Nowadays, design should be shared and enjoyed by all, in a routine
context, not only by specialists of the design field.
“iida 2010” gives netizens of Korea and abroad the opportunity to
judge the works.
[iida 2010 Netizen's Choice Award] will be selected during October
1st through 30th, 2010 for 30 days, by participation in
the netizen-jury through iida.kr, designboom.com, designflux.co.kr
The winner will be announced on the 31 October 2010.

“iida 2010” award winning works will
be exhibited at the Incheon International Design Fair.
“iida 2010” gives the visitors of Incheon International Design Fair
the opportunity to judge the works.
The visitor-jury will take place between November 18th through 21st,
2010 for four days during the exhibition period of
Incheon International Design Fair.
The winner will be announced on the November 22nd, 2010 via the homepages(iida.kr,
designboom.com, designflux.co.kr). |
